Although low at 130 cfs, Moose Creek was super fun. There were eight of us who came, for four of which it was the first run. Although fun, it did feel a little crowded -- and perhaps it would have been wiser to go in a smaller group... But we didn't.
Various
Everybody had good runs, and we only had a few swims. One of them involved Diana who was following my line, except that I got side-stuck in a ledge hole. She ended up going over the stern of my kayak, flipping, and immediately swimming out. It was very shallow, and she wasn't wearing a face guard... I felt really bad about it, but she was very cool about the whole thing. If anything, it was the rest of the crew that made fun of me for the next few days :)
Electric Slide and The Falls
The 10-foot falls were a good run, and most of us ran it. Todd and Eric led the way, followed by Dave and Zach, and me at the end.
Take-out
It was a long evening, probably 3+ hours on the river. We took out after 11pm already, and then headed back to Anchorage for a late dinner.
On the way back I lost my hat....
